Grand Canyon and Zion National Park Sample Itinerary

  • Day 1:
    • Arrive in Las Vegas
    • Educational stop at the Hoover Dam
    • Evening sunset over the Grand Canyon
    • Overnight in Tusayan, AZ
    • OR: Arrive in Phoenix/travel through Sonoran Desert/Red Rock National Forest or Wupatki Canyon National Monument
  • Day 2:
    • Hike along Grand Canyon South Rim, stop at scenic vistas and historic sites
    • Visit famous Cameron Trading Post
    • Scenic drive through the Painted Desert, the "Land of the Rainbows"
    • Overnight in Page, Arizona
  • Day 3:
    • Morning hike at Horseshoe Bend or Antelope Slot Canyon
    • Scenic float trip on the mighty Colorado river from Glen Canyon Dam to Lee's Ferry
    • See ancient Petroglyphs
    • Swim in the Colorado River (for the brave!)
    • Evening sand boarding at Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park
    • Overnight in Utah
  • Day 4:
    • Full day at Zion National Park with the majestic sandstone
    • Hiking options include Emerald Pools and The Narrows
    • Explore Springdale, Utah with souvenir shopping
  • Day 5:
    • Morning hike in the Valley or Fire State Park in Mojave Desert
    • Depart from Las Vegas for home
